Job Description:

Qualified candidate will be responsible for producing all food products needed for their work station. In addition, candidate will be responsible for producing all necessary items to the proper specification and producing all items in a timely and safe manner.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, etc.  PREVIOUS LINE OR SHORT ORDER COOK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.



Essential responsibilities include:


  • Prepare all food items required for any station that the employee is working.

  • Safely operate all equipment to ensure employee safety.

  • Requisition supplies needed for any station employee is working.

  • Adhere to state, local and company specific health codes.

  • Set-up and/or break down all or any station as specified by immediate supervisor.

  • Be able to prepare all items per Company specifications/recipes and presentation standards.

  • Maintain work area and all equipment used in a clean and professional fashion.

  • Employee must provide their own cutlery of a type suitable to management specification.

  • Will need Food Handler Safety Training and required Hep A shots.
  • Strong team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Other duties; as assigned.



Experience and Skills:

Specific Skills/Experience Required:

  • High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or at least 1 year equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to regularly walk and kneel; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or trays and controls.

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

  • Able to get Food Handler Safety Certificate and Hep A shots
  • Ability to operate common kitchen equipment in a safe and productive manner.

  • Ability to stand for long periods.

  • Safely operate around sharp and/or hot objects.

  • Have a high level of knife handling ability; ability to chop, slice, pare, etc., in a fast yet safe manner.

  • Ability to taste or smell and distinguish color of dishes.

  • Capable of negotiating stairs and ramps.

  • Capable to bending, twisting, turning or stretching as necessary to perform the essential job functions.

  • Ability to read and follow a recipe.

  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance; at all times.

  • Must understand and follow all applicable food safety guidelines both internal and external.

  • Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and notify supervisor of any food products that might be unsafe or unstable.

  • Ability to understand and convert units of measure.

  • Adeptly carry out instruction, both verbally and written.

  • Maintain friendly and courteous demeanor; at all times.


    This position requires qualified candidate to:

  • Work varying shifts, as assigned (nights, weekends and holidays).

  • Be able to obtain Food Handler Safety certification and Hep A shots.
