Job Description:

SUMMARY : Maintenance and Repair of the electronic and mechanical aspects of the Electronic Gaming Device Department. Strong technical and service skills required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, a Casino Queen Slot Mechanic must be able to perform each essential function, as well as, the other requirements of this job satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job. The requirements listed below are in addition to and incorporated by reference into those job duties contained in the Casino Queen Internal Controls.

  1. Assist in the installation, removal, movement and/or conversion of electronic gaming devices to ensure compliance with casino policies and Illinois Gaming Board Rules and Regulations.

  1. Responsible for implementing all repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on electronic gaming devices (including Voucher Printers) as needed.

  1. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and/or repairs on EGD System hardware utilized in conjunction with the Casino Management System.

  1. Assist the Lead Slot Technician in ensuring EGD’s equipped with non-alterable storage media are secured and maintained in accordance with Illinois Gaming Board Rules and Regulations.

  1. When requested, repair Kiosks or other mechanical equipment maintained within the casino.

  1. Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, general education degree (GED); or equivalent work experience. College course work preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the essential job functions, a Slot Mechanic must be physically capable of performing the following essential physical functions. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable an employee with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear.

2. Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.

3. Occasionally required to walk, climb or balance.

4. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.

5. Occasionally required to coordinate with second person to lift heavy objects over 200 pounds.

6. Occasionally required to move carts or hand trucks loaded with heavy objects over long distances.

7. Capable of bending, twisting, turning, lifting and stretching as needed to perform the various essential functions.

8. May be required to stand for moderate to long periods of time.
